Company Settings

Configure how the platform behaves for your company — dashboard, reference manager, reference form, approval workflow, reviewers, exports, and showcase.

Company Settings is where company admins configure how the platform behaves for their company: which filters the reference manager offers, which tabs the reference form shows, which status new references start with, whether approval runs in one or two stages, and more. Until now, many of these options could only be changed by the platform team on request.

  • Permission: Edit company settings (company admins; see Team & Permissions).
  • Where: sidebar → Company settings → Settings (/my/company/settings/general).

The page header also links to the related settings pages: Security (mandatory two-factor authentication), Branch settings (industries and custom fields), and AI / MCP access (the AI gateway).

How settings are saved

  • Each setting is saved immediately when you change it. There is no separate save button.
  • Changes take effect for you right away. Other users of your company pick them up the next time they sign in.
  • Under every setting you can see where its current value comes from: the default setting, configured for your company by referenzen.com, or set by a named colleague on a given date.
  • Reset returns a setting you changed to its default.

Available settings

Settings are grouped by area. Each one is explained right below its name on the page.

Dashboard

SettingWhat it controls
Next-steps hintsShows the area with recommended next steps on your users' dashboard.

Reference Manager

SettingWhat it controls
Default selection of the reference listWhat the reference manager shows when opened: All, Confirmed, Approved, Published, Internal or Ongoing references.
"Completed since year" filterShows the completion-year filter (finished projects only).
Filters: selection & orderWhich filter blocks the filter rail offers, and in which order. Move blocks up and down, or hide the ones your team never uses. Hiding a filter deletes no data.

Reference Form

SettingWhat it controls
Reference form tabsWhich tabs the reference form shows, and in which order. Basics always comes first and Publication last. Hiding a tab only hides its fields; existing data is kept.
Branch selection via reference groupsNew references pick a reference group first; the matching industries are assigned automatically.
Contract value field positionWhether the contract value appears on the Basics or the Internal tab.
Copy description to special featuresFor new references, the description is copied into the internal Special features field automatically.
Default stage image ratioThe crop ratio for the stage image of new references.
Default channels for new referencesThe publication channels preselected for new references. At least one must stay selected.
Automatic status of new referencesWhether new references start as In progress or without a status.
Suggest clients across companiesClient suggestions consider all companies of your corporate group instead of only your own.
DQB detail fields collapsedCollapses the DQB detail fields in the form by default.
Two-stage approval workflowSeparates content approval from publication. See below.
SettingWhat it controls
Additional fields in DQB exportIncludes industry-specific additional fields in the DQB export template. See Export, Print & Import.

Reviewers

SettingWhat it controls
Reviewers per location & reference groupTurns on location-based reviewer assignment, including location-aware reviewer suggestions and notifications.

Showcase

Settings for your customer showcase, the dedicated reference presentation site: whether it is enabled, which references it lists (published only or all released references, incl. internal), the reference group menu, industry tabs and industry paths, and the cover teaser text, which you can maintain per content language. Empty languages fall back to the English or German text.

Artificial Intelligence

The AI model used for AI features is shown for information. It is managed by the platform team.

Switching the approval workflow

Turning the two-stage approval workflow on or off changes how every reference is approved, so the page asks for confirmation first:

  • Switching it on: references need a publication proposal and a separate publication approval after content approval. See One-stage or two-stage approval.
  • Switching it off: content approval alone is enough for publication again. The dialog shows how many references are currently in the intermediate statuses Proposed for publication or Public release rejected. They keep their status, but the extra workflow steps no longer apply.

Announce a workflow change to your reviewers and publishers before you make it. It applies to you immediately and to everyone else from their next sign-in.
