Client Confirmations
Invite clients to confirm your references online — verified references carry a badge and can include client quotes.
A client confirmation (countersign, German Gegenzeichnung) turns a claim into a verified track record: your client reviews the reference online and confirms that the project was delivered as described. Confirmed references show a Verified badge across the platform.
Requesting a confirmation
Confirmations are managed on the reference form's Confirmations tab:
Choose the client contact
Pick an existing contact person of the reference's client — or enter a new name and e-mail address on the spot.
Prepare the invitation
Click Prepare invitation. The invitation e-mail's subject and message are pre-filled and fully editable.
Send the invitation
Send invitation delivers a personal link to the client. You can track requested confirmations via the Countersign requested sort in the reference manager.
What the client sees
The invitation link opens the reference detail page with a confirmation form — no registration required. The client can:
- Confirm the reference — optionally adding a customer quote
- Return it for revision — with feedback, so you can adjust and re-request
- Decline it
The client may also register an account along the way (the invitation pre-fills their details), but doesn't have to.
Managing statements
Received confirmations and quotes appear on the Confirmations tab, grouped by status:
- Edit the statement text per language (the original language stays locked — it's the client's wording)
- Toggle confirmed statements active/inactive to control display
- Show or hide the invitation text
Active statements appear on the public reference page as client quotes, and the reference gains its Verified badge.
The client's perspective: managing granted confirmations
If your company confirmed references for a supplier, you manage those granted confirmations under My Company Profile → Countersign statements (/my/company/countersign-statements): review each statement, adjust the wording or your display/anonymity preference, or withdraw it.
Confirmed references are worth the follow-up: they carry the badge in search results, can be filtered for ("Confirmed references"), and client quotes are among the most-read content on reference pages.
