Getting StartedAccounts & Login

Accounts & Login

Registration, e-mail confirmation, login, Microsoft single sign-on, password reset, invitations, and personal settings.

Registration

The registration page offers two account types on separate tabs:

  • User — a personal account for browsing, watchlists, and messaging. Enter your name, e-mail address, and a password.
  • Company — creates your personal account and your company's profile in one step. In addition to your credentials you provide the company name (with a live preview of the public profile URL), your industry (with a Suggest a new industry option if yours is missing), your country, and optionally your website and a voucher code.

All registrations require accepting the terms of service and passing a captcha. Passwords must be at least 8 characters and contain upper case, lower case, and a number.

Coming from the pricing page? The plan you selected there is carried into registration automatically — otherwise you start on the free plan.

E-mail confirmation

After registering you receive an activation code by e-mail. Enter it on the confirmation page (it is pre-filled when you follow the link in the mail). Once confirmed, you can sign in.

Registration by invitation

You may arrive at registration through an invitation link — for example when a company invites you to confirm a reference as their client, or someone shares a watchlist with you. The form then shows who invited you and pre-fills your details. Corporate client contacts are guided to the Company tab automatically.

If your company already has an account, don't register a new company — ask your company admin to add you in Team & Permissions. You'll receive your login by e-mail.

Sign in with your e-mail address and password at /auth/login. Options:

  • Remember me keeps you signed in on this device.
  • Forgot password? starts the reset flow (below).
  • Sign in with Microsoft appears for companies that have configured Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on — sign in with your organization account instead of a separate password. Company admins find the setup guide inside the app under Documentation → Microsoft Entra SSO.

The login page also tells you why you were sent there — for example when your session expired or when the anonymous view limit was reached (visitors without an account can only open a limited number of reference detail pages).

Password reset

  1. Open Forgot password? and enter your e-mail address.
  2. You receive a reset link by e-mail (for security reasons the page always reports success, whether or not the address exists — check your spam folder).
  3. The link opens a form to set a new password (minimum 8 characters, entered twice). Expired links offer to request a fresh one.

You can also change your password anytime while logged in, in the user settings dialog (avatar menu → Settings → Profile).

Personal settings

Open the settings dialog from the avatar menu in the header. It contains:

  • Notification settings — for each notification type, choose whether to be notified via inbox (in-app messages), via e-mail, both, or neither.
  • Profile & password — your name, job title, and contact details; change your password.
  • Interface language — German or English, independent of the content languages your company maintains.
  • API — read-only view of your personal API key (used for the REST API and widget configuration).

The header also offers a theme switcher (light / dark / follow system).

Logging out

Use Logout in the avatar menu. Logging out ends your session on both language editions of the platform.
